While we strongly encourage PhD students on the job market to submit papers to this event, we also welcome submissions from PhD students in any year of their PhD program.  We welcome FIRN insitutiton academics to volunteer as discussants for this event. The Call for Nominations is out now – see below for details. If you have any questions about this event please contact FIRN at: info@firn.org.au

FIRN’s Inagural PhD symposium was held in Brisbane at the UQ CBD campus, at 293 Queen Street, Brisbane  on Tuesday 13th November from 9am to 4pm. The symposium consisted of two concurrent streams and  all attendees have invaluable opportunities to network during the breaks and lunch.  All PhD students presenting actively participated in the proceedings. Each PhD student presentation was followed by a discussant that is a senior academic. This event was free for PhD students and academics from FIRN institutions.
